BOXING AT IRON KINGZ

Boxing is a classic combat sport that emphasizes striking with the fists while employing defensive techniques to avoid getting hit. It combines physical fitness, strategic thinking, and mental toughness, making it a challenging and rewarding discipline.

Here are some key aspects:

  1. Fundamental Skills: Basic punches include the jab, cross, hook, and uppercut. Defensive moves like slipping, bobbing, and weaving are crucial.

  2. Conditioning: Boxing workouts are intense, incorporating cardio, strength training, and agility exercises to improve overall fitness.

  3. Technique: Proper footwork and body mechanics are essential for generating power and maintaining balance.

  4. Mental Discipline: Boxing requires focus, resilience, and the ability to think strategically under pressure.

Whether for fitness, self-defense, or competitive sport, boxing offers a comprehensive workout and a way to develop both physical and mental fortitude.

Meet the Coach

Boxing has always been a part of my life. At an early age my passion for the sport grew and became something that I did not implement well. Growing up in Waipahu, Hawaii was tough, and I used what I had learned for the streets. Instead of keeping my training in the gym and utilizing my skillset to excel in the boxing world. Being incarcerated, in and out of the system I overcame many trials and tribulations. My main goal now, is to be the best father to my kids, and give back to my community by giving structure and guidance to our youth and future generations. With that, I decided to open up my own gym, Iron Kingz. The main focus for my students is to teach them not only boxing, but life-lessons through Discipline, Dedication, Sacrifice, Humility, and Hard Work as well. Here at Iron Kingz we do not only want to train them to become Champions in boxing, but we strive to train them in becoming CHAMPIONS OF LIFE. Boxing is a guide to success if its principles are taught and applied correctly. My hope is to share my experiences and shine that light for any up-and-coming fighters who may feel that they have no way out of a broken system at home. I am not only a boxing coach but a life-long mentor that will be there for all of my students in any time of need, in and out of the ring.
